“With more than 12,600 members statewide, the Wisconsin Medical Society is pleased that Gov. Walker’s Health Care Stability Plan is part of his 2018 agenda. We applaud his plan to ensure coverage of pre-existing conditions, make SeniorCare permanent and to help make health insurance affordable for lower-income patients.
“Access to high quality care has always been a top priority for the Society and we are proud of the gains we have made in coverage in Wisconsin. We look forward to working with the Governor and his administration, the State Legislature and our Congressional delegation to continue to reduce the number of uninsured in our state.
“Through both public and private options, we believe we can continue to provide the highest quality care, coverage and access in the country. The Society welcomes the opportunity to inform the development of legislation and waivers to benefit Wisconsin physicians and their patients.”
