Will it still be intact after tonight’s GOP Senate candidate forum?
MADISON — The question is simple: Will the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s GOP Senate “unity pledge” still be intact after tonight’s Republican Women of Dane County GOP Senate candidate forum?
Sure, Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson went back to fighting with each other just five hours after signing the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s so-called “unity pledge” back in January. But there’s always room for further discord and deterioration. Since then, the GOP Senate primary has only got messier, featuring deeply personal and petty attacks, lobbed back and forth by Kevin Nicholson and Leah Vukmir, their campaign staff and family members. Even the Walker family is taking sides.
How much worse can things get tonight? We’ll know in a few hours.
