MADISON — Scott Walker continues to double down on his claim that his decision to send Wisconsin National Guard troops to the U.S-Mexico border was “non-political,” and that “some are trying to use the decision as a political issue when it’s not.”
One of those people? Scott Walker himself.
Scott Walker has been running several of these Facebook ads and has targeted them outside of Wisconsin, meaning they are focussed on fundraising rather than voter persuasion.
“Once again, like the typical career politician he is, Scott Walker is prioritizing his ambitions and showboating for the national Republican Party instead of doing what’s right for Wisconsin,” said TJ Helmstetter, Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson on the 2018 gubernatorial race.
