Vukmir and Nicholson stand with Trump, breaking from Wisconsin Republicans

MADISON — Against all odds, some Wisconsin Republicans like Speaker of the House Paul Ryan today displayed the smallest modicum of spine in speaking out against President Donald Trump’s tariffs and threats that are inflicting harm on Wisconsin manufacturers and working families.

But the same cannot be said of GOP U.S. Senate candidates Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson, who are — as usual — silently standing by Trump, and once again proving that they won’t put Wisconsin first in the U.S. Senate.

“Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson are bought and paid for by their corporate special interest big donors, and their persistent refusal to stand up to Trump — even when he attacks Wisconsin working people — proves that they cannot be counted on to put Wisconsin first,” said Brad Bainum, DPW spokesperson for the 2018 U.S. Senate race.
