MADISON — The following is a statement from Democratic Party of Wisconsin chair Martha Laning on gubernatorial and lt. governor candidates Tony Evers and Mandela Barnes being nominated to the ticket.
“Congratulations Tony and Mandela and welcome to the ticket! For years, Tony has been a fierce champion for Wisconsin children and families, defending our shared Wisconsin values in some of the toughest fights our state has seen. His fearless vision for Wisconsin is one that will bring much-needed change for Wisconsinites who have seen opportunities for their families and communities diminish the last 8 years.
