WisDems: Statement on tonight’s gubernatorial debate
Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Martha Laning issued the following statement on tonight’s gubernatorial debate:
“Tonight we saw what happens when a typical politician like Scott Walker tries to run from his eight-year record of slashing education funding, restricting access to health care, and neglecting Wisconsin’s roads. Unable to defend his abysmal record, Walker resorted to cheap political attacks and desperate lies.
“Tony Evers proved he is the only candidate who can bring Wisconsinites together to fully fund our public schools, rebuild our roads, and make sure that Wisconsinites with pre-existing conditions are always protected. Wisconsinites are tired of Scott Walker putting his political career ahead of the good of the state. Anyone who watched tonight’s debate knows that it’s time for a change.”
