Illinois billionaire Dick Uihlein has spent more than $8 million for Kevin Nicholson; and Wisconsin’s Diane Hendricks is spending big for Leah Vukmir

MADISON — Despite Leah Vukmir’s claim that she isn’t beholden to her campaign’s big donors, the truth is that both Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson are bought-and-paid-for by billionaires and powerful, corporate special interests that are spending millions to buy a U.S. Senator who will work for them.

  • Illinois billionaire Dick Uihlein and Kevin Nicholson — Uihlein has so far spent more than $8 million in support of Nicholson, as he seeks to “spawn” and “nurture” a U.S. Senator of his own. It’s no coincidence that Nicholson believes  Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid cuts are a priority, while Uihlein’s agenda includes privatizing Social Security entirely and dismantling health care programs that Wisconsin families rely on.

  • Wisconsin billionaire Diane Hendricks and Leah Vukmir — On the other side of Wisconsin Republicans’ billionaire-bankrolled “GOP Civil War” is Vukmir and her billionaire megadonor Hendricks, who’s funding anti-Nicholson attack ads spotlighting Nicholson’s previous support for a woman’s right to choose.

No matter who wins out in Wisconsin’s “GOP Civil War,” Wisconsin families lose: both Vukmir and Nicholson are bought-and-paid-for by billionaire megadonors and they’d put their powerful corporate special interest backers first in Washington, not Wisconsin families.
