Upon learning that Governor Scott Walker has left the state yet again, this time for Aspen, DPW 2018 gubernatorial spokesperson TJ Helmstetter issued the following statement:
“It would be convenient for Walker to dodge town just because unpopular Trump officials are touring the state today, but Walker doesn’t actually need the excuse. He looks for every opportunity to jet off on little notice, with no transparency or disclosure to the media and public.
“Walker has spent the last 8 years putting his political and personal ambitions above the state’s business, so why should today be any different?
“We hope Walker is enjoying the slopes in Aspen today. He’ll have plenty of time for skiing when he’s out of office. In the mean time, he should get back to work and fix the roads.”
