[Madison, WI] — Wisconsin is America’s Dairyland – and Governor Scott Walker is fighting for our farmers. Governor Walker spent last weekend traveling across Wisconsin meeting with hard-working farmers to celebrate June Dairy Month.
Check out some of the news about Governor Walker’s dairy breakfast stops statewide:
From WISC-TV: People from around Rock County enjoyed the annual dairy breakfast Saturday morning … Gov. Scott Walker was there Saturday and helped serve food. The event is “just a great tradition here in the state of Wisconsin, making our way all over the place and seeing people and recognizing the importance of the dairy industry here,” he said. Walker also attended the breakfast in Sauk County.
From WBAY: Governor Walker spent time with farmers at the Breakfast on the Farm in Mishicot. This is an event that brings out thousands to the area. The governor was serving up eggs and talking about the future with dairy farmers. “People always in a good mood. They are always hungry. But, they are happy and more than happy to meet other folks, who care about the dairy industry and need some good Wisconsin food,” said Governor Walker.
From the Herald Times: Walker was found serving eggs at the farm Sunday to each of the 4,833 people who attended the event, along with State Rep. Andre Jacques and more than 150 other volunteers who worked to cook and serve the food, park cars, run tours of the farm and much more.
