Republican Party-endorsed candidate wins primary

[Madison, WI] — Tonight Republican voters backed proven conservative Leah Vukmir to take on Senator Tammy Baldwin this November. Vukmir, who earned the Republican Party of Wisconsin endorsement with overwhelming grassroots support, will take the Wisconsin way to Washington as our next U.S. Senator. Following Vukmir’s victory, the Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement from Chairman Brad Courtney:

“These past few months I’ve watched firsthand as Leah Vukmir traveled all over Wisconsin to meet with hard-working Republican volunteers and ask for their vote – nobody in this state has worked harder for this win than Leah. Tonight, I congratulate her on her victory, and celebrate the hard work of Republican Party of Wisconsin volunteers who stepped up once again to help win a hard-fought election.

“I also want to thank Kevin Nicholson and his family for their hard work during this campaign and dedication to supporting our fantastic grassroots volunteers.

“It’s time we send President Trump and Senator Ron Johnson a new ally in Washington. Leah Vukmir is the conservative who can do just that. While Senator Tammy Baldwin has put D.C. first every chance she gets, I know that Leah Vukmir is the right candidate to take our Wisconsin way to Washington this fall.”
