Walker signs more tax relief into law
[Madison, WI] — Nobody likes Tax Day, but this year Republicans are giving taxpayers a few reasons to celebrate. Speaker Ryan and Republican leaders passed massive tax cuts, letting taxpayers keep more of what they earn. On top of that, Governor Walker is signing a bill today that would give a tax rebate to hard-working Wisconsin families and create a sales tax holiday in Wisconsin. Taxpayers are winning thanks to Republican reforms.
“Thanks to Republican leaders like Paul Ryan and Scott Walker, Wisconsin taxpayers are winning big and keeping more of what they earn,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Senator Tammy Baldwin, the Democrats running for governor, and their liberal allies in Washington and Madison have picked higher taxes over hard-working families time and again. Wisconsin can’t afford Democrats backward tax policies.”
Republicans fight for taxpayers, Democrats pick higher taxes
  • Thanks to federal tax reform, the typical Wisconsin family will save over $2,500– despite obstruction from Senator Tammy Baldwin and her liberal allies.
  • The bill Governor Walker is signing today will create a sales tax holiday and give hard-working families a $100-per-child tax rebate.
  • Democrats in Madison said they would rather spend those tax dollars on “anything else” except returning it to Wisconsin families.
  • Thanks to the governor’s reforms, Wisconsin will see over $8 billion in cumulative tax relief by the end of 2018.
