[Madison, WI] — The Republican Party of Wisconsin today unveiled investments by Tony Evers that show widespread hypocrisy, with money in companies dealing with issues in direct contradiction to the liberal values Evers espouses on the campaign trail.
Press can find the documents here. They detail investments by Tony Evers in companies dealing with oil spills, a wide variety of workplace and consumer discrimination issues, and subsidies – all issues Evers campaigns against.
“When it comes time to put his money where his mouth is, Tony Evers passes the buck,” Executive Director Mark Morgan said. “A review of Tony Evers’ finances shows that on issue after issue, Tony Evers the investor supports companies that Tony Evers the candidate would campaign against – yet more evidence of his failed leadership. The bottom line is this: Tony Evers is either a hypocritical bureaucrat or a cynical investor. There is no other explanation.”
