Baldwin still hasn’t met with President Trump’s “well-qualified” nominee
[Madison, WI] — Today, the Senate begins hearings on the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States. Last week, Kavanagh was given the highest rating possible from the American Bar Association, receiving a unanimous “well-qualified” rating to serve on the Supreme Court. Sadly, Senator Tammy Baldwin is choosing to not do her job – having not met Kavanaugh and quickly opposing his confirmation after the announcement was made.
“Judge Kavanaugh is a well-qualified nominee for the Supreme Court of the United States who will uphold the Constitution and defend the rule of law in our country,” said Mark Morgan, Executive Director for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Baldwin would rather play political games with the president’s judicial nominees than do the job that hard-working Wisconsin families elected her to do. It’s well past time that she start standing up for them instead of Chuck Schumer and her Washington party bosses.”
