[Madison, WI] — Last week, news broke that Foxconn would begin construction on its new campus shortly and that they would hire 90 percent of their subcontractors from Wisconsin. In the same interview, a Foxconn official said that without Governor Walker, Foxconn wouldn’t be bringing thousands of jobs to Wisconsin. While Foxconn made its huge announcement, Democrats were lining up to campaign against those jobs for hard-working Wisconsin families.

“Thanks to Governor Scott Walker, hard-working families in Wisconsin are winning big with the thousands of new jobs that will come with Foxconn’s transformative investment,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Democrats have shamefully taken to campaigning against the good-paying, family-supporting jobs that are being created. Wisconsin’s comeback is real – we can’t let Democrats take our state backward.”
Wisconsin Democrats are campaigning against jobs for hard-working families
  • In a recent story from The Cap Times, multiple Democrats running for governor outlined how they would reject Foxconn and, as a result, the thousands of jobs that come with it.
  • Meanwhile, Foxconn’s economic impact is already being felt statewide – from Black River Falls to Milwaukee.
  • If Democrats had their way, none of these Wisconsin businesses would benefit from Foxconn’s historic investment.
