Hahlbeck will provide an overview of artificial intelligence including its promises and its limitations and will introduce some of the key initiatives of the Advancing AI Wisconsin group. Kathy Henrich and Laura Schmidt will also be discussing needed changes in talent pipeline development to effectively prepare for the era of artificial intelligence.

Advancing AI Wisconsin was formed in 2017 to increase visibility and preparedness in Wisconsin organizations for disruptive technological innovations like artificial intelligence, IoT, and blockchain. This grassroots effort has been working across the state with economic development organizations, educational institutions, governmental agencies, etc. to help influence policies, programs, and initiatives which will help the state prepare for this disruptive innovation.
