MILWAUKEE — This morning the Wisconsin Working Families Party announced their support for the reelection of Democratic State Representative Evan Goyke. Goyke has been in the State Assembly since 2013. During his time in office, he has led several successful bipartisan legislative efforts, including helping to bring a close to the troubled Lincoln Hills juvenile prison. He represents the 18th District, where he is a resident and homeowner in the Historic Concordia Neighborhood on Milwaukee’s near west side. His primary election is August 14th and the general election is November 6th.

“We are proud to announce our endorsement of Rep. Evan Goyke for reelection. Goyke has been a fierce advocate for Milwaukee in his time in Assembly. He knows the issues well and has shown a true commitment to fighting for racial justice, economic justice, and the needs of our communities,” said Rebecca Lynch, Political Director at the Wisconsin Working Families Party.

“I am proud to be endorsed by the Working Families Party. Together, we want to see major, positive change in the lives of so many that are currently left out or left behind. That means an economy, a healthcare system, educational system, and a criminal justice system that work for all, not just a few,” said Rep. Evan Goyke.

Rep. Goyke is amongst a series of recent Milwaukee County endorsements from the Wisconsin Working Families Party, including Earnell Lucas, Supreme Moore Omokunde, Marisabel Cabrera, and JoCasta Zamarripa.
