Rally in Solidarity with the Migrant Caravans

The Trump administration has once again demonstrated its underlying xenophobia with its response to the caravan of refugees moving towards United States’ southern border. The administration has escalated the situation at the already turbulent border. By sending thousands of military service members to the border and using tear gas against the asylum-seekers, Trump and his administration have shown political incompetence and complete disregard for the caravanners’ lives.

The Young People’s Resistance Committee (YPRC) will hold a rally on December 1st in response to the current administration and in support of the caravans headed towards the US/Mexico border. Members of YPRC will speak about the migrant caravan, providing insight on the caravaners’ struggle and the reasons for their migration. We will meet at 1PM at Walker Square Park on 9th and Washington and end at the Si Se Puede mural on Cesar E. Chavez Drive and Mineral.

Young People’s Resistance Committee (YPRC) is a youth-led organization with missions to organize, empower, and lead the struggle to achieve justice for students, workers, and immigrants. We advocate for a strategic alliance of the multi-national working class in an effort to combat imperialism and work toward the liberation of all oppressed people. The main work of YPRC is accomplished through political activism and direct action.
