Fond du Lac- The Young Republicans of Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties held their first meeting this week in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, with Senator Dan Feyen, Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt, and Republican Party of Fond du Lac County Chairman Rohn Bishop as special guests.

“After recently moving to the Fond du Lac area, I realized that there is a vibrant conservative population in the community. I really wanted to connect our generation to that enthusiasm because we are the future. The time for younger people to realize that limited government and cost-effective reforms help all of us is now!” said Zak Olsen, Vice Chairman of the Young Republicans.

I’m thrilled these guys started up a YR’s group in our area,” said FDL GOP Chairman Rohn Bishop, “There’ve been recent news reports about Tom Steyer, the liberal, out of state, former hedge fund executive coming here, into Wisconsin, and that he’s planning on dumping $2.5 million to organize young people on the left. We have to combat that on the right, but we’re going do it with good old fashioned grass roots volunteers, like we have here with the YR’s.”

The Young Republicans is open to any Republican under the age 40. Anyone interested in learning more about the Young Republicans of Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties, please contact Chairman Fred Karsten at fkarsten1@gmail.com.
