Mosinee Mayor Brent Jacobson, a Republican, has released a statement indicating that he is considering entering a special election to fill the seat that will be vacated by Congressman Duffy in less than two weeks. Wisconsin Department of Health Services: Lead abatement program receives federal approval

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) announced today they received approval from the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to implement a health services initiative to provide lead abatement services in the homes of low-income children and pregnant women enrolled in BadgerCare Plus and Medicaid. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is advising residents to continue to protect themselves against mosquito bites as it announces this year’s first confirmed human case of West Nile virus (WNV) in a resident of Northeastern Wisconsin.
