Did you know, on average, one person dies by suicide every nine hours in Wisconsin?
This week, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos announced membership for the Speaker’s Task Force on Suicide Prevention. I’m honored to chair this 15 member, bipartisan committee as we work to make policy recommendations to stop the rising rate of suicide in our state.

The facts surrounding this epidemic are shocking. With suicide rates climbing across the county, I’m grateful to see the Assembly taking a serious look at prevention in order to reverse this trend and save lives. It’s time.
