The Bureau announces the release of report 19-30, State of Wisconsin FY 2018-19 Financial Statements.
We provided unmodified audit opinions on the State of Wisconsin’s FY 2018-19 financial statements. These statements are included in the State’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, which is prepared by the Department of Administration (DOA). We report a material weakness in internal control over financial reporting at the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance. In addition, we report significant deficiencies related to information technology security at DOA and financial reporting at the Department of Transportation. We make recommendations to these agencies to address the deficiencies we identified.
