LFB: Evers budget would result in $2 billion structural deficit for 2021-23

The state would face a structural deficit of nearly $2 billion heading into the 2021-23 budget under Gov. Tony Evers’ proposal for the 2019-21 biennium, according to the Legislative Fiscal Bureau.
That would be a significant uptick from the $865 million structural deficit the Capitol faced for the 2019-21 biennium. It also would be the largest structural deficit since $2.5 billion for 2011-13.
