-- Gov. Tony Evers' administration is projecting the state would collect nearly $2.3 million in increased revenue over the coming biennium if medical marijuana is legalized and taxed under the guv's budget.
The plan would legalize medical marijuana and impose an excise tax amounting to a 10 percent surcharge on the dispensary list price of products, per the budget. The document also notes medical marijuana wouldn't be exempt from sales taxes.
