Madison, WI
– On Friday, September 20th, NextGen Wisconsin will join young climate strikers at the MG&E Rally to demand real action that transforms our economy and society and meaningfully addresses the climate crisis. NextGen Wisconsin will be pledging climate strike attendees to vote as well as encouraging young people to make their voices heard in upcoming elections. NextGen Wisconsin is hard at work building an army of young progressive voters who will decide the 2020 elections.

In 2018, NextGen Wisconsin ran the largest youth vote program in the state. NextGen collected 50,869 pledges to vote, sent 528,781 text messages, and knocked on 178,477 doors to mobilize young people to vote in the midterm elections. Young Wisconsinites voted overwhelmingly to remove Scott Walker from the Governor’s office and elect progressive champion Tony Evers. NextGen Wisconsin remains committed to organizing young people on college campuses and in communities to vote and is already gearing up to flip the state blue in November 2020.
