Madison – Last night Governor Evers gave his first State of the State address. Rep. Dave Considine (D-Baraboo) released the following statement on the Governor’s speech:

“Yesterday evening Governor Evers laid out a plan to come together and work on the issues facing our state. By investing in our schools, communities, and roads, Governor Evers is pledging to put the people of Wisconsin first.”

“In his speech, Governor Evers spoke of working together to ensure that the state government works for all of us. I strongly believe that we must work across the aisle to guarantee a strong education system, accessible and affordable health care, and a better transportation infrastructure,” said Rep. Considine. “The voters in November elected a split government, and we must set aside our differences to fix the significant challenges facing our state.”

“I firmly believe Governor Evers is the leadership Wisconsin needs at this time. I am excited to work with Governor Evers and all of my colleagues—regardless of political party—towards a better future for all Wisconsinites.”
