MADISON – Representative Barbara Dittrich (R-Oconomowoc) was sworn in as the state representative for Wisconsin’s 38th Assembly District this afternoon as the state Assembly convened to begin its 104thsession. Dittrich comes from the non-profit sector, having served as the Executive Director and later the Director of Advancement for a non-profit serving the parents of children with disabilities and chronic illnesses. She lives in Oconomowoc with her husband, Steve, and their three children.

“As a lifelong resident of southeast Wisconsin, it is truly an honor to be representing the goals and interests of the 38th Assembly District,” said Rep. Dittrich. “I am excited to bring my knowledge and experiences to our already strong Republican caucus to continue moving Wisconsin forward.” I am proud that today I co-sponsored my first legislation, The Pre-Existing Condition Guaranteed Coverage proposed bill.

Rep. Dittrich will serve as the Vice-Chair of the Assembly Committee on Workforce Development, as well as serve as a member of the Assembly Committees on Financial Institutions, Jobs and the Economy, Labor and Integrated Employment, Medicaid Reform and Oversight, Small Business Development, and Ways and Means.
