Madison – Assembly Assistant Democratic Leader Dianne Hesselbein (D-Middleton) released the following statement reacting to Governor Tony Evers’ 2019 State of the State Address before a joint session of the Wisconsin State Legislature:
“It is a new day in Wisconsin as Governor Evers delivers his first State of the State Address. I am optimistic as we move on from the politics of division and look forward to working collaboratively toward real solutions for the people of Wisconsin. As we prepare for the upcoming legislative session it is encouraging to know that Governor Evers is ready to work with the legislature to deliver on issues that working families care about.
“Governor Evers wants to work across the aisle for an economy that works for all of us, healthier communities, more money for our kids and our schools, and better roads and infrastructure. It’s wonderful to know that we have a governor who will lead on the state’s biggest challenges and put Wisconsin first.
“There is a lot of work to do in this legislative session and I can assure you I am committed to making a positive difference for Wisconsin families.”
