La Crosse, WI— Today, Rep. Ron Kind is leading a bipartisan congressional delegation trip to Geneva, Switzerland where they will meet with officials from the World Trade Organization (WTO) to discuss modernizing the WTO and de-escalating of the trade war. Rep. Kind will advocate for changes that will allow for Wisconsin farmers and businesses to grow their exports in the global market.

Rep. Ron Kind released the following statement ahead of his trip:

“Reckless trade policies have hurt Wisconsin’s farmers, businesses, workers, and families and are having drastic impacts on our state’s economy. This trip gives me the opportunity to directly meet with our trading partners to push for policies that will expand opportunities for Wisconsin’s farmers, businesses, and workers. I look forward to addressing the looming the issues that directly impact Wisconsin farms and ensuring policies create a level playing field so that Wisconsin can compete fairly.”
