Madison – Today, Rep. Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton) released the following statement after Assembly Bill 1, which would help ensure protection for individuals with pre-existing conditions, passed the State Assembly.
“I am proud to have voted in support of AB 1 today. Assembly Republicans made it a clear priority to make sure the first action we took for the 2019-2020 Legislative Session was to do what we can to protect individuals and families with pre-existing conditions.
“This legislation will make us a leader in the Midwest on pre-existing condition coverage and one of only five other states in the country to ensure that all three elements of the pre-existing condition protections will remain in place for state residents regardless of changes at the national level[i],” said Loudenbeck.
The bill passed the Assembly with bipartisan support and is awaiting Senate action.
