Madison…Today the Wisconsin State Assembly approved the 2019-21 biannual state budget. Rep. Macco released the following statement:
“I am proud to have voted for the WISCONSIN Budget, not only does it maintain the state’s fiscal health, created over the last 8 years but it is great for North-East Wisconsin. Our budget includes increases for projects in Brown County including increased funding for UW Green Bay, the Southern Bridge Project, Expansion of the Boys and Girls Club Be Great Graduate Program, middle income family tax relief, increases in transportation funding and historic increases to education.” said Rep. Macco
“Despite the politically motivated rhetoric this budget places Wisconsinites first. The states two year spending plan includes more than $665 million in education increases renewing the state’s commitment of two-thirds funding for the first time since being vetoed by Gov. Jim Doyle. Our budget includes a working family’s tax decrease while increasing funding for infrastructure and transportation improvement.” continued Rep. Macco
“Not only does the 2019-21 budget include increases for state programs and departments but it include sound fiscal policy that will continue to move Wisconsin forward. I am proud to have voted for the WISCONSIN Budget and look forward the Senate sending Governor Ever’s a responsible budget.” concluded Rep. Macco
