MADISON, WI – Today, Representative Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) released the following statement celebrating Governor Tony Evers’ first State of the State Address:

“Governor Evers’ State of the State Address laid out a clear agenda to move Wisconsin forward. The issues Gov. Evers discussed tonight are the same issues I hear about every day in Racine.

“Racinians want affordable, quality health care, so no family needs to choose between medical care and paying rent. We want our public schools to be fully funded, so our children and our communities can have brighter futures, can thrive. We want a more just criminal justice system. And we want investments in our transportation infrastructure, so everyone can get where they need to go, to work and to school.

“Our Governor is committed to fighting for the people of this state, for all of us. He is committed to listening, having conversations, and working together. He knows what we know in Racine: it is time for us to put people before politics.

“We cannot solve the challenges Racine and Wisconsin face on our own. We need to work together. We need to put people first. And when we do, we can move Wisconsin forward together.”
