Madison – Today, State Representative John Nygren (R-Marinette) issued the following statement on the announcement of his staff for the 2019 Legislative Session:

“I am pleased to announce my staff, who will help advance the Assembly Republicans’ pro-jobs, pro-growth agenda this session. As the Assembly Co-Chair of Joint Finance, I will rely on my team’s knowledge and experience as we craft a budget that reflects the priorities of citizens from around the state, while at the same time protecting the taxpayer’s dollar from wasteful spending in Madison.”

Nathan Schwanz, Chief of Staff–Schwanz has worked for Rep. Nygren since 2016, previously serving as his policy advisor. Prior to working with Rep. Nygren, he served in Governor Scott Walker’s Budget Office and worked for Congressman Sean Duffy.

Cali Romanello, Legislative Aide–Romanello has been with Rep. Nygren since 2016 and previously worked with Representatives Mary Felzkowski and Dean Kaufert. She handles constituent correspondence and services, and Rep. Nygren’s schedule.

Chris Borgerding, Policy Advisor, Director of Communications–Borgerding returned to Rep. Nygren’s office in 2017, previously working for Rep. Nygren in 2015. Borgerding previously worked for Representative Joel Kitchens and the Wisconsin Credit Union League. He advises Rep. Nygren on health care and workforce development issues and handles press inquiries.

John Cronin, Policy Advisor– Cronin joins the Nygren office from the office of Representative Mark Born where he served as Research Assistant. He advises Rep. Nygren on justice, corrections, natural resources, and capital budget issue areas.

Waylon Hurlburt-Policy Advisor–Hurlburt joins the Nygren office from the Office of Governor Scott Walker, where he most recently served as State Budget Director. Hurlburt previously worked for Rep. Nygren during the 2009 Legislative Session. He advises Rep. Nygren on transportation, tax, and general government issue areas.
