MADISON – State Representative Jessie Rodriguez (R-Oak Creek) took the oath of office during an inauguration day ceremony Monday beginning her fourth term representing the 21st Assembly District in the 104th Wisconsin State Legislature. Rep. Rodriguez is one of 63 Republicans elected to the Assembly in the 2019-2020 legislative session. 

“I’m humbled and proud to represent the 21st Assembly District in our state legislature and I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues in this challenging environment to serve my constituents. I hope to find common ground with the administration as we continue working to move Wisconsin forward,” said Rep. Rodriguez.

Rep. Rodriguez is beginning her fourth term in the Wisconsin State Assembly. This legislative session she has been appointed Chairperson of the Family Law Committee and will serve on the following committees; Education, Energy & Utilities, Health, and International Affairs and Commerce. 

“This legislative session my Assembly colleagues and I will continue to focus on improving K-12 education, protecting those with pre-existing conditions, and finding innovative ways to grow our economy and address our workforce needs,” said Rodriguez.

Rep. Rodriguez was first elected to the state Assembly in 2013 during a special election. The 21st Assembly District is located in southeast Milwaukee County and includes the communities of South Milwaukee, Oak Creek and a portion of Franklin.
