Madison, WI –Representative Ron Tusler (R-Harrison) released the following statement regarding the passage of the State Budget in the Assembly this evening on a vote of 60 – 39:
“I am glad the Third Assembly District will benefit from the funding of sixty-five new Assistant District Attorney positions, two of which will be in Outagamie County. These new positions will help get criminals off the streets and keep the Fox Valley safer. While not every recommendation made in the criminal justice budget proposal I unveiled in February was adopted, this budget makes strides to fund this core public safety responsibility to the public. I will continue to advocate for an additional circuit court branch in Calumet County and work to ensure justice is achieved and communities are kept safe.”
