Madison- State Representative Tyler Vorpagel (R-Plymouth) issued the following regarding the passage of a Middle Class Tax Cut.
“Cutting taxes for the middle class has been a bipartisan priority, and we can do this without increasing taxes on anyone because of the policies of Assembly Republicans. There is no reason to raise taxes on our farmers and job creators when we have over a $580 million surplus.
“The 27th Assembly district leads the state in jobs created in manufacturing jobs, and the University of Wisconsin found that from 2013-2016 the Manufacturing and Agriculture Tax Credit helped create 42,000 jobs in the state of Wisconsin.
“I am proud to return money to the taxpayers. As their representative, I want to continue to lower the tax burden, and I look forward to working with Governor Evers to do this.”
