[Madison, WI] – In response to tonight’s League of United Latin American Citizens’ (LULAC) Presidential Town Hall, the Republican Party of Wisconsin issued the following statement from Chairman Andrew Hitt:
“Tonight, Wisconsinites heard a group of Democrat presidential candidates shamelessly advocate for radical policy proposals and a socialist platform that includes open borders, decriminalizing illegal immigration, and taxpayer-funded health care for illegal immigrants. These radical policy proposals threaten the safety and economic prosperity of all Americans.
Conversely, President Trump continues to champion economic policies that have delivered real results for our Hispanic Americans in Wisconsin and across the country. This President’s policies have led to record-low unemployment for Hispanic Americans and the opportunity for Latino Americans to start new businesses at a rate nearly three times the national average. And that is exactly why these communities will continue to embrace President Trump’s policies over the extreme agenda Democrats proposed tonight.”
