SUBJECT: Retirement celebration for Chancellor Meyer
The media are invited to cover the retirement celebration for Chancellor Bob Meyer from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8. The event will be held in the Great Hall of the Memorial Student Center, 302 10th Ave. E.
The program will begin at approximately 4:45 p.m. Speakers include UW System President Ray Cross; state Sen. Patty Schachtner, D-Somerset; Regent Mark Tyler; Kim Polzin, incoming president of the Stout University Foundation board of directors; Petre “Nelu” Ghenciu, president of the Faculty Senate; alumnus Scott Cabot; and Meyer. Assistant Chancellor Meridith Wentz will be master of ceremonies.
