MADISON- Today the Joint Committee on Finance approved a motion for an additional $3 million in funding per year for Career and Technical Education grants (CTE grants).  Senator Dan Feyen (R-Fond du Lac) fully supports this budget motion that would provide a total of $6.5 million a year for CTE grants.

“Earlier this session, I authored Senate Bill 16, which proposed the state invest an additional $3 million in CTE grants. I am very pleased to see that this budget motion has passed the Joint Committee on Finance with tremendous support.” Sen. Feyen said.

“In Wisconsin, our economy is booming and we want to continue to strengthen our workforce by preparing our students for success. In the 18th Senate District, CTE grants have produced real results by providing new curriculum and teacher training, better preparing students to pass their certification exams. I cannot wait to see how this additional funding will positively impact Wisconsin’s students and our state’s workforce.”
