Madison, WI — Senator Chris Kapenga (R – Delafield) was sworn in today for his second term representing the 33rd Senate District.

“As we begin this new legislative session, I am committed to continuing moving Wisconsin forward along the path of prosperity. During my time in the legislature, I have worked hard to improve how government operates and ensure it moves to be more limited.

“Over the next term, I will work to ensure that the reforms passed over the last eight years are upheld as the legislature intended. I am excited for the future of our great state and look forward to continuing to serve the constituents of the 33rd Senate District.”

Senator Kapenga was first elected to the State Senate in a July 2015 special election after serving as the representative to the 99th Assembly District for two and a half terms. He was recently reappointed Chair of the Public Benefits, Licensing & State-Federal Relations Committee. In addition, Senator Kapenga will serve as Vice Chairman of the Committee on Government Operations, Technology & Consumer Protection. He has also been reappointed as a member of the Committee on Labor & Regulatory Reform as well as the Joint Legislative Audit Committee.
