Milwaukee—Rep. JoCasta Zamarripa released the following statement on the appointment of Rep. Peter Barca to serve as Department of Revenue Secretary:
“Congratulations to Representative Peter Barca on his appointment as Secretary of the Department of Revenue. I have served with Peter in the legislature since I was first sworn-in in 2011, and I served alongside him in caucus leadership for two legislative sessions. It has been a great honor to stand with him, shoulder-to-shoulder, and fight for our constituents.
“It is difficult for me to imagine serving in the legislature without Peter Barca, but I know he will continue to do great things for the people of Wisconsin.
