Madison, WI – State Senator Dan Feyen (R-Fond du Lac)  Senator Feyen sent a letter to DOA Secretary Joel Brennan today requesting that the “Open for Business’ signs that were removed from the “Welcome to Wisconsin” signs at our state borders be sent to his office. “I would be happy to find places to display the signs in my office and district office to let our business community know that we are still “Open for Business” said Senator Feyen.

“I have heard reports that the “Open for Business” signs were removed on Monday from our welcome signs.  This is troubling news, I want businesses across the nation and especially throughout Wisconsin to know that we are still “open for business”.  I ran for office to be a champion for economic development and workforce development and I will continue to be a leader advancing policy that is good for business in Wisconsin.  If our small businesses succeed, we all succeed” said State Senator Dan Feyen.

Senator Feyen is chair of the Senate Committee on Economic Development, Commerce and Trade. He has also been appointed to serve as the Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Utilities & Housing and as a member of several other Senate Committee. Feyen is also a member of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.
