Middle Class Families Win with GOP Tax Cut
Family making $70,000 a year would receive a $300 tax cut
Madison, WI – Senator Duey Stroebel (R-Cedarburg) released the following statement after the passage of the Republican Middle Class Tax Cut on the Senate Floor:
I’ve listened closely to my legislative colleagues and have yet to hear a compelling argument to keep the $691 million budget surplus in the hands of state government. This money belongs to the people of Wisconsin and I believe we should return it to them via a middle class tax cut.
I urge Governor Evers to honor his campaign promise and join Senate and Assembly Republicans in our efforts to fuel Wisconsin’s economy and strengthen our state’s middle class.
