Thompson fields questions on gas tax hike, driver’s licenses for undocumented immigrants

GOP members of the Joint Finance Committee voiced concerns to Transportation Secretary Craig Thompson about Gov. Tony Evers’ plan to reinstate the prevailing wage on state projects and let those in the state illegally get driver’s licenses.
And they also expressed skepticism over the guv’s claims that nixing the minimum markup on gasoline would offset his proposed 8-cent increase in the gas tax.
