Treasurer Sarah Godlewski supports Governor Evers’ plan to reinvest in Wisconsin and restore fiscal responsibility and transparency to the state

Madison – Treasurer Sarah Godlewski applauds Governor Evers’ budget recommendations to reinvest in the state of Wisconsin.

As part of the Governor’s budget recommendations, the Treasurer looks forward to partnering with the governor to address the student loan crisis and improve retirement opportunities.

“Student loan debt is an issue affecting nearly one million Wisconsinites. Meanwhile, the average working-age household has only saved $3,000 for retirement. When Wisconsin’s families face financial challenges, it can put our state’s economy at risk. I am proud to work with Governor Evers and other community members to tackle these critical financial challenges.”

Treasurer Godlewski further supports the Governor’s decisions to implement tax relief measures for middle-class families, expand Medicaid and BadgerCare, and increase public school funding.

“Fiscal responsibility is critical to our state’s future, which is why investing in our middle class will ensure Wisconsin’s financial health for years to come,” said Treasurer Godlewski.

“I am excited to partner with Governor Evers and his administration as they work to restore Wisconsin’s financial and economic policies,” continued Godlewski.
