WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Bryan Steil released a statement after the House overwhelmingly voted to pass the United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA).

“USMCA is a win for Wisconsin farmers, workers, and families. USMCA is an improved trade deal with Canada and Mexico. It allows Wisconsin workers to sell our products to our allies. Throughout my first year in office, I have pushed for USMCA to be brought to the floor. I am proud to support Wisconsin’s agriculture and manufacturing industries.”

On background:

Throughout his first term in office, Steil has been an outspoken supporter of USMCA. In April, Steil held an Agriculture and Trade Roundtable in Burlington, Wisconsin to discuss impacts of USMCA on our dairy and agriculture industry. In October, Steil joined Vice President Mike Pence in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin to highlight the importance of USMCA for Wisconsin manufacturing and workers.
