WASHINGTON, D.C.—Bryan Steil released a statement following the announcement that the United States and Japan are beginning trade negotiations.
“This decision is a step in the right direction. Bringing trading partners to the table bodes well for farmers and workers in Wisconsin. Lowering barriers to trade will ensure American products can be sold freely, fairly, and reciprocally throughout the world. I look forward to working on this agreement and finalizing a trade deal with Japan that supports our farmers and gives them access to critical markets.”
