STEVENS POINT – High school seniors can apply to any of University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s locations for free this fall.
Seniors at any secondary school may apply to enroll without paying the $50 application fee or writing an essay. This special offer is open to anyone graduating from high school in 2019, effective immediately.
High school seniors may apply for free through Aug. 31, 2019, to attend UW-Stevens Point’s four-year campus in Stevens Point or two-year branch campuses in Wausau and Marshfield this fall.
“Save time and money,” said Marc Young, director of recruiting at UW-Stevens Point. “Even if you are considering a few colleges, you have nothing to lose and much to gain by applying to UW-Stevens Point.”
UW-Stevens Point also is waiving the essay portion of application and offering scholarships to individuals who qualify.
More than 100 program options with 80 bachelor’s and 16 graduate degree programs are available at UW-Stevens Point, including nine new programs at branch campuses in Wausau and Marshfield.
To take advantage of this benefit, high school seniors need to apply using the UW System application found at https://apply.wisconsin.edu or the Common Application at www.commonapp.org/school/university-wisconsin-stevens-point. They should submit their UW-Stevens Point applications without the $50 application fee payment. “We’ll pay it for them,” Young said.
This offer does not extend to students who have already paid the application fee.
