Weekly Radio Address: Inauguration and Water Quality Task Force

Madison…Rep. Todd Novak (R-Dodgeville) focuses on Inauguration and the upcoming Water Quality Task Force in the Weekly Radio Address for Wisconsin State Republicans.

Hello, I’m state Representative Todd Novak.

On Monday, myself and members of the 104th Wisconsin State Assembly took the Oath of Office marking the start of our two year term.

While the ceremony signaled the official start to the legislative session, our work had already begun. At the start of the year, the results of a study were published showing that 42% of wells tested in three Southwest Wisconsin counties contained possible groundwater contamination.

Representative Travis Tranel and I joined together to call on the Speaker to request a Bipartisan Task Force on Water Quality tasked with digging deeper into this problem and suggesting possible solutions. The Speaker quickly agreed and work to assemble the committee has already begun.

Clean water is essential to the health of our rural communities and really, every community in Wisconsin. Water quality is not a republican or democrat issue, it is a state of Wisconsin issue.

I look forward to what we will accomplish. Thanks for listening!
