Monday was Tax Day, everyone’s favorite day of the year.
The good news is that over the last eight years, we’ve worked to lower taxes of hardworking Wisconsinites by $8 billion.
We’ve invested in education and infrastructure, paid down debt and saved for the future.
Wisconsin is historically strong but we didn’t get there by accident.
Unfortunately, Governor Evers has proposed a budget that will raise your taxes by more than $1 billion.
With Wisconsin working, now’s not the time to turn back the clock. In fact, now is the time for comprehensive state tax reform.
As chairman, I spent the last four years working to make our tax code low, fair and simple. While people are seeing bigger paychecks and easier federal filings, Wisconsin is in a unique position to do the same.
