MADISON – The following statement can be attributed to Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation President Joe Bragger:

“Wisconsin Farm Bureau applauds the bipartisan action as the House approved the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement with a 385 to 41 vote.

Approval of this agreement comes after a long and hard-fought effort by many in agriculture and manufacturing to solidify relationships between our North American trading partners.

Wisconsin Farm Bureau would like to thank the members of the House who voted in support of this agreement.

While we acknowledge this agreement won’t fix all the challenges our farmers are facing, it is welcome news to know the USMCA will increase U.S. ag exports by $2 billion.

Wisconsin Farm Bureau members are optimistic about the future of the USMCA and subsequent trade agreements that will continue to support our farmers and rural communities.”

Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest general farm organization with members of every farm size, commodity and management style.
